Companies' net borrowing rises to HUF 231 bln in August

Non-financial companies took out net HUF 231 billion in loans from local lenders in August, the highest monthly amount in almost a year, data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Friday show, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The figure was over three times the HUF 70 bln monthly average net borrowing of companies in the twelve months to August.
That borrowing raised banks' corporate lending stock - including subscriptions of corporate bonds - to HUF 10.373 trillion.
Companies made net deposits of HUF 263 bln during the month, raising stock of corporate deposits to HUF 12.314 tln.
