BÁV: Demand for gold remains strong

Banking

Demand for investment gold bullion (BCA) in stores of BÁV was much stronger than expected last year, writes profitline.hu.

The turnover in 2021 exceeded HUF 1 billion.

"Annual sales will be only slightly below the record year of 2020, even though there was an unprecedented interest in investment gold as a result of the pandemic," said Ádám Kovács, commercial director of BÁV.

He added that, as part of a long-term investment portfolio, Hungarians still keep their money in gold," pointing out that the pawn broker's turnover data last year demonstrates this as well.
