Banking sector sentiment improves
The Bank Sentiment Index of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) has risen to 14 points, after showing negative values for all of 2020, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Among the components of the index, the measure of banks' assessment of the economic environment rose to 41 points from -53 in the fourth quarter, while the gauge of demand rose to 45 points from 29.
The gauge of profitability edged up to -23 points from -25, and the measure of client risk improved to -28 points from -48.
