State-owned student loan provider Diákhitel on Friday said that the deadline for applying for Diákhitel Plusz credit, a one-time general-purpose loan that was rolled out as a temporary measure during the coronavirus crisis, is September 30, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Diákhitel noted that the application deadline for the credit, which enjoys "huge" popularity among students, was earlier extended by the government.
Students may take out up to HUF 500,000 of the credit, interest-free.
Diákhitel also offers students interest-free loans to cover tuition as well as free-purpose credit up to HUF 150,000 per month.
The interest rate on the free-purpose loans now stands at 4.99%.
