State company to hire 66 staff of bankrupt Hollóházi
State-owned Hollóházi Hungarikum Nonprofit will be taking over 66 staff from porcelain maker Hollóházi Porcelán Manufaktúra, which is under liquidation, managing director József Pálfi said on Wednesday.
Hollóházi Hungarikum Nonprofit, which was established to preserve the long-standing tradition of porcelain making in Hollóháza (NE Hungary), will start operating on September 1 with a total of 90 staff, Pálfi said.
All 200 workers of state-owned Hollóházi Porcelán Manufaktúra were laid off on Wednesday, regional news portal BorsodOnline said earlier in the day.
The Hungarian National Asset Management Company (MNV) has decided to wind up the company without establishing a legal successor, the portal said.
Hollóházi Porcelán Manufaktúra became insolvent in the spring, Econews reported earlier.
