SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary revenue climbs 10%
Indian-owned SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary expects to close its business year ended March 31 with revenue of about €200 million, 10% more than in the previous year, managing director Pál-Levente Tibori told MTI.
Tibori attributed the increase to new capacity: the company inaugurated a HUF 7 billion car mirror plant in Mosonmagyaróvár (NW Hungary) last September. The plant is operating at 40-50% capacity at present, but is hoped to reach full capacity by 2013, he added.
The company's plant in nearby Mosonszolnok is operating at over 90% capacity.
SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary plans to add about 200 more jobs this year, raising headcount from about 1,500 at present.
