New Alumetal plant in Hungary to employ 150

Polish automotive industry supplier Alumetal launched the construction of a €28.5 mln plant in Komárom in northwestern Hungary. The project is expected to create 150 jobs by the end of 2017, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) announced today.

The plant will supply the Mexican-owned cylinder head manufacturer Nemak's plant in the nearby city of Győr, HIPA chairman Róbert Ésik said.

Alumetal chairman-CEO Szymon Adamczyk said the plant is scheduled to launch production in Q4 2016 with annual production capacity of 50,000 tons.

Alumetal announced its plans to build the plant in Hungary in June.
