Ministry signs contracts for eight mining licenses with tender winners

Hungaryʼs development minister has signed contracts for eight mining licenses which were awarded to four tender winners last November, the National Development Ministry said today, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
The minister signed contracts with O+GD Central for hydrocarbon exploration and extraction licenses in Berettyóújfalu, eastern Hungary, Mogyoród, Nagykáta and Ócsa, central Hungary. Hungarian oil and gas company MOL signed contracts for licenses in Battonya-Pusztaföldvár, southeastern Hungary, and Dány, central Hungary. HHE Group signed a contract for a license in Lakocsa, southwestern Hungary, and PanBridge Hungary signed a contract for a license in Püspökladány, eastern Hungary.
The tender winners paid altogether HUF 2.9 billion in license fees, the ministry said.
New tenders for mining licenses are expected to be called in the first half of this year.
