Meat maker completes HUF 1.5bn plant in W Hungary

Zalai Baromfifeldolgozó Kft has completed a HUF 1.5bn poultry-processing plant in western Hungary, the business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Tuesday.

The newspaper wrote that the company would begin trial production at the plant, one of the largest in Hungary, at the end of this month.

Zala Poultry Processing won HUF 625m in support for the investment, HUF 401m from Hungary's previous government and HUF 224m in job-creation support from the current government.

The company, which has already hired 50 people to work at the plant located in the village of Pacsa, expects to hire 70 more workers by the end of 2012.
