Lego to start building €125m plant in Hungary in summer

Denmark’s Lego Group will start construction of a €125m plant in Nyiregyhaza (NE Hungary) in the summer, managing director of the company’s local unit Jens Peter Clausen said on Tuesday.

The 80,000sqm plant will be completed by 2014, Mr Clausen said, speaking after signing a contract with the city’s mayor parcelling the land for the investment.

Around 1,550 people will work at the plant during peak periods.
