Epcos to relocate production to Hungary

Epcos AG, a German company that makes passive electronic components, will relocate more production to its Hungarian subsidiary, daily Napi Gazdaság said, citing László Szentkúti, managing director of Epcos Kft.
The company will move production of electronics components and development of aluminum-electrolyte capacitors from its Brazilian plant to Szombathely, west Hungary. The relocation received a green light from the local council after Epcos AG unveiled a Ft 524 million ($2.85 million) manufacturing complex spreading on a 2,000 square meter area. The company plans to switch to manufacturing mostly its own products from next year, Szentkúti said. (Napi Gazdaság)
