ENER-G to inves at landfill power operations in Hungary
UK-based sustainable energy technology company ENER-G has announced it will invest more than £2.6 million (about Ft 758 million, €3.27 million) to harness methane to generate electricity at three landfills in Hungary.
ENER-G said it won two 15-year contracts to generate “green” electricity at two landfills owned by an Austrian waste management company, and a third, 10-year contract for a landfill owned by a local council southwest of Budapest. The operations at the sties will have combined electricity capacity of 2.65MW, or enough power for some 2,000 homes. (MTI-Econews)
