Hungarian electricity distributor Émász, majority-owned by Germany's RWE-EnBW, is spending about HUF 800m to modernize a hundred-year-old hydroelectric power plant in Felsődobsza (NE Hungary), Émász-Elmű board member Hans-Gunter Hogg told MTI on Wednesday.

The investment will double capacity at the plant to 940 kWh, said Gábor Bercsi, managing director of the Émász unit which operates the plant, told MTI on Wednesday.

The plant is expected to go online in 2013.
