Elcoteq to close plant in S Hungary
Finnish electronics manufacturer Elcoteq, which declared bankruptcy last week, will close its plant in Pécs (S Hungary), Elcoteq told the regional daily Dunántúli Napló on Wednesday, online news portal bama.hu reported.
The plant employed 1,515 workers.
Elcoteq employed 7,000 people at three sites in Hungary before the onset of the global economic and financial crisis.
