Creaton to add Ft 9 bln production hall to Lenti plant

Tile manufacturer Creaton Hungary Kft is preparing to build a new Ft 9 billion (€34.6 million) production hall at its plant at Lenti, west Hungary, business daily Világgazdaság reported on Tuesday.
Creaton Hungary managing director Tibor Schmidt said he expects Belgian parent company Etex Group to soon authorize construction of the planned 13,000-square-meter production hall, which will be outfitted to produce pantile.
Creaton Hungary, which operates as the Hungarian unit of Creaton AG, generated revenue of more than Ft 2 billion in 2005 and expects its 2006 turnover to reach Ft 3 billion. Creaton is Hungary's second-largest manufacturer of ceramic roof tile, currently employing 50 people at its Lenti plant with the additional production hall to create 65 more jobs.
