Consentis examines market in Hungary
Consentis, one of the leading international manufacturers of full-service biogas plants examines the Hungarian market in a press statement.
At the RENEXPO trade show, which takes place between April 24 and April 26 2008 in Budapest/Hungary, Consentis presents its range of products and services as a full-service provider of particularly durable and efficient biogas-plants with above average energy output.
The utilization of renewable energies in Hungary increases. Within the context of the EU-directive their portion of the total energy consumption of the country from currently 4.7% is to be increased to 14% by 2013. With it the strong dependence on imported sources of energy, which currently amounts to 75%, is to be lowered considerably. The prospects for the biogas sector are especially promising, since 62% of the country is agriculturally used. At present the biogas potential in Hungary is utilized only by 10%. Since Hungarian decision makers see the largest potentials in the utilization of biomass, up to €436 million subsidies will be available for this sector during the next 7 years. Consentis biogas plant engineering, one of the leading German companies for complete biogas-systems, will start in 2008 with the development of the Hungarian market.
Consentis multi-feed plants, which use also raw fiber-rich biomass and organic residual materials beside the classical input materials like renewable raw materials, grain, liquid manure and dung optimally, are characterized by an above average efficiency, the release said. While conventional plants exhibit only an average capacity utilization of 87%, the full load equipment performance of the Consentis plants is demonstrably at 98,6%. Thus these plants are virtually predestined for the utilization of locally available raw materials for the CO2-neutral energy production. In Hungary 15 million cubic meters of liquid manure from livestock as well as 300,000 tons of slaughter waste accumulate annually, which can be utilized in biogas plants. Moreover, the energy from regenerating raw materials, animal waste and organic residual materials contributes not only to environmental protection, but improves also the fertilizer quality compared to raw liquid manure.
