Cembrit winds up HUF 7 bln refurbishment in Hungary

Danish-owned Cembrit completed a HUF 7 billion reconstruction today at its colored fiber-cement cladding board factory in Nyerges煤jfalu, western Hungary, and also launched production, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

The reconstructed plant, which is expected to turn out 20,000 tons of product a year at the start, saw headcount climb from 18 to approximately 100, Zolt谩n Both, managing director of Cembrit始s Hungarian unit, said.

Annual revenue of Cembrit始s local unit could reach HUF 10 bln with the start of production and HUF 20 bln with the installation of another production line, MTI reported.
