Canadian company interested in Elcoteq plant in Hungary - newspaper
Canadian software solutions company Selectica is interested in buying the Hungarian plant of Finnish electronics company Elcoteq, regional daily Új Dunántúli Napló said on Tuesday.
Elcoteq has neither confirmed nor denied the report but it said "it is also in talks with an East Asian investor."
Elcoteq's board will meet on Tuesday or Wednesday and will probably decide on the fate of its foreign units, the paper wrote.
Elcoteq has been present in Hungary since 1998. It earlier operated three plants, but now has just one, located in the city of Pécs (S Hungary).
