The Benedictine Archabbey of Pannonhalma (W Hungary) is building an almost HUF 100m mineral water bottling plant in nearby Ravazd, László Veiland, in charge of sales and marketing at the abbey, told MTI on Friday.

The archabbey won HUF 50m in support from the Leader Program for the project.

The bottling plant will have capacity to turn out 30,000 400ml and 800ml bottles a day for sale mainly in hotels and restaurants.

The plant will start production at the beginning of 2012. It is expected to become an additional attraction for visitors to the abbey.
