Alcoa to build €70 mln plant

Alcoa Inc, the world's biggest aluminum maker, will spend €70 million to expand production in Hungary by building a new plant at its existing site. The Pittsburgh-based company, Hungary's 12th largest employer, will hire 200 workers by the end of 2007 for its new unit to process special alloys in Székesfehérvár, 70 kilometers southwest of Budapest, Hungary's Economy Ministry said in an e-mailed statement today.
