Voucher companies look to restructure Hungary's voucher system

Initiatives

Voucher companies Sodexo, Le Cheque Dejeuner and Edenred are seeking compensation from the Hungarian state at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes for the restructuring of Hungary's voucher system, Hungarian daily Magyar Hírlap reported today.

Hungary introduced a unified national voucher system in 2012, a move which virtually squeezed out existing market players, the daily adds.

The National Development Ministry told the paper that the government supported the Erzsébet voucher program in all forums, calling it "one of the most successful social solidarity program in Europe".
