Third Translog Connect Congress program, dates announced
Business information forum specialists The Events Group has announced dates and location for its third Translog Connect Congress, the trade forum for the transportation, logistics and supply-chain industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
The 2013 edition of the Congress is expected to host over 500 decision-makers from within the industries on November 27 and 28 in Budapest’s Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal. The program is themed on “Trends and Impacts on Logistics and Supply Chain Management.”
The congress will be chaired by Dr. Sebastian Kummer, head of the Institute of Transport and Logistics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business/Austrian Logistics Association (BVL) board member.
The program will feature presentations by industry experts from leading international companies, including Stefan Putzlocher, director of logistics at Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary; Bernard Lefevre, head of CEEMEA logistics purchases at P&G; Tom Tillemans, logistics excellence director at H.J. Heinz Supply Chain Europe; David Gaal, HR Adriatic regional director at Nestlé; and Andrzej Michalak, logistics operations manager for Eastern Europe, Turkey & Russia at Delphi.
Top logistics service providers including GebrĂĽder Weiss, CHEP, DB Schenker, DSV, FedEx, Manhattan Associates, Port of Rotterdam, Norbert Dentressangle and Linde Material Handling are slated to meet with selected participants to present their latest products and services as well.
Other items on the program include organized visits to the Audi production plant in Győr and the Zwack Unicum distillery operation in Budapest, while The first-ever Central Eastern European Logistics and Supply Chain Excellence Award recognizing innovation in the field will be awarded on the event’s first day.
