Russian company wins renovation tender with €219 mln bid
Russiaʼs Metrowagonmash was awarded with a tender to renovate carriages that operate on Budapestʼs number three metro line with a bid of €219.1 mln, the Budapest Public Transport Company (BKV) reported yesterday.
The announcement said that the Russian company was the only one to submit a valid tender. Under the tender, Metrowagonmash is expected to renovate a total of 37 trains, extending their guaranteed lifespan by 25 years.
