Portuguese Lena to increase investments in Romania
Portuguese construction group Lena, present on the Romanian market with Lena Construcoes, plans to increase its investments in Romania by developing private and public-private partnerships in fields such as regenerable energy, real estate and biotechnology.
For Lena, 2007 represents a year of business consolidation on the Romanian market. The company estimates turnover of €30 million ($41 million), a 30% increase from the previous year. Lena Group has been present on the Romanian market since 2004 with Lena Construcoes. The company employs more than 250 people and has a portfolio of approximately 40 works, including the enlargement of DN 1, the modernization of the Doamna Ghica Avenue and the construction of a superior bridge and the infrastructures of Baneasa. The group has recently invested in basic equipment such as asphalt and concrete plants.
Besides the Romanian market, Lena Construcoes is also present on the Bulgarian, Algerian, Moroccan and Angolan markets. (bursa.ro)
