MNB to consult mid-sized banks on growth scheme Monday

The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) announced it will meet the representatives of mid-sized banks operating in Hungary on April 15. The meeting will be part of consultations the central bank plans about its “Funding for Growth Scheme,” announced on April 4. The MNB consulted first with the heads of eight big banks on the program on Monday. They agreed to hold regular consultations and to work out details of the scheme. The MNB said earlier it planned to discuss the scheme with the representatives of specialized banks and savings cooperatives as well.
