Megatrend to close 2006 with revenue of Ft 1.5 bln
Megatrend IT Zrt, one of the leaders on Hungary's market for enterprise management systems, expects to close 2006 with pre-tax profit of Ft 100 million on revenue of Ft 1.5 billion, chairman-CEO Imre K. Szab贸 said on Monday.
In 2007, Megatrend targets pre-tax profit of 200 million on revenue of Ft 2 billion. Megatrend has completed more than 200 projects in the 20 years since its founding, Szab贸 said. Among the company's clients are dietary supplement maker B茅res Zrt, farm machinery company Axi谩l Kft and poultry company Hungerit Zrt.
Megatrend has also filled many public sector orders, including an IT system for Hungary's network of public roads. The system, which will be set up in each of Hungary's 19 counties is expected to generate Ft 250 million in revenue for the company and reduce the counties' payroll costs related to public roads 20%-30%. Public-sector orders generated revenue of Ft 350 million this year, and are expected to produce Ft 500 million in 2007. Szab贸 noted that the state could save an annual Ft 40 billion-Ft 50 billion if it were to make the necessary IT developments.
Megatrend employs 100 staff. About 90% of its clients are Hungarian businesses, although it also has units in Romania and Ukraine.
