Hungary to lift all bird flu restrictions on Thursday

Hungary is to lift all restrictions related to an outbreak of bird flu in spring on August 31, Agriculture Minister József Gráf said late on Monday.
Gráf said the waiting period following the discovery of the infected birds would soon end. Hungary's chief veterinarian said in mid-August that no birds infected with avian flu had been discovered since July 12, and breeding in the areas where the infected birds were found earlier could start as early as August 31.
