Hungary signs for EIB loans of €440 mln

Hungary signed three loan contracts worth a combined €440 million with the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg on Tuesday, Finance Minister János Veres announced.

Two of the loans will go toward projects receiving EU development funding during the 2007-2013 budget period: A €120 million loan will go toward regional development projects and a €45 million loan will be used for healthcare infrastructure projects. The third loan of €275 million will be used to support innovation programs. Including the new agreement, Hungary has signed for EIB loans of a combined €760 million so far this year. (MTI-Econews)
