Hungary government to cut red tape
The government will implement measures aimed at cutting red tape and making lives of ordinary people easier, Zoltán Kovács, State Secretary in charge of government communications, told a news conference on Tuesday.
The government will instruct the ministries to work out conditions for simplified formats in as many as 232 areas, such as family and child services, naturalization, property administration as well as employment and agriculture, Kovács said.
Kovács said the measures, part of the government’s public administration development program, seek to eliminate overlaps and save citizens from paying billions of forints in multiple administrative charges.
Another goal, Kovács added, was to ease the burden on civil servants.
