EC endorses Hungary’s 2014-2020 rural development program

The European Commission has officially approved Hungaryʼs rural development program for the 2014-2020 funding period, the ECʼs Hungarian representative told state news agency MTI yesterday.
The €4.2 bln program comprises €3.4 bln of European Union funding and €740 mln of state co-financing. The program is said to place an emphasis on preserving ecosystems, promoting social inclusion, reducing poverty, smoothing paths to market and managing risk.
