Cyprus c.bank denies planning to sell gold reserve

Central Bank of Cyprus has categorically denied the report that it plans to sell the country’s gold reserve, Interfax news agency said. Media reported on Wednesday that the sale of gold worth €400 million was under preparation in order to finance the anti-crisis programs. A spokesperson for the central bank categorically denied the report, saying such an option had not been even discussed.
