BKV announces tender for purchase of used buses

The Budapest Public Transport Company (BKV) has issued a tender worth between HUF 3bn and HUF 6bn for the acquisition of up to 120 used buses, BKV reported on its website.

The tender calls for the purchase of a maximum of 60 regular and 60 articulated low-floor buses.

The tender stipulates that the buses be no more than 10 years old, have been driven no more than 1m km, be equipped with air-conditioning, are compliant with Euro 3 emissions standards, be wheel-chair accessible and have a capacity of at least 66 passengers for the regular buses and 102 passengers for the articulated buses.
