Bill would broaden sports tax deductions for state lottery
A bill submitted to lawmakers by the Parliamentʼs economy committee today would allow the state lottery company to deduct spending on advertising and marketing rights for sports events from the gaming tax.
The state lottery company has already be authorized to deduct the money it spends to organize sporting events from the gaming tax.
The bill would "regulate conditions guaranteeing the financial security and predictability of implementing financing for sport development programs", according to the proposalʼs justification.
