Audi unveils new project and training centre in Hungary
German carmaker Audi on Thursday unveiled a new project and training centre at its base in Hungary.
The HUF 3bn centre opened in the former plant of Lite-On in the Gyor Industrial Park (NW Hungary).
The centre will employ 50 staff. About a hundred workers will be trained at the centre each day.
Thomas Sigi, Audi AG's board member for human resources, said the company had always placed a big emphasis on novelty, renewal and innovation, which requires well trained workers.
Richard Rozman, Audi Hungaria Motor human resources manager, said the company regularly holds training programs in which more than a thousand people have participated. Most of the participants work at the plant in Gyor, he added.
State secretary for employment affairs Sándor Czomba said the centre was an example to be followed of an investment in knowledge.
