Alfa Busz, Volvo Hungária win Ft 5.26 bln Volán bus tender
Agria Volán, a member of state-owned long-distance bus group Volán, has announced the result of two public procurement orders for a combined 104 buses worth Ft 5.26 billion in the latest issue of the Public Procurement Gazette.
Alfa Busz Kft won the tender to deliver 62 13.5-meter-long buses with a bid of Ft 2.76 billion. Volvo Hungária Kft won the tender to deliver 42 18-meter-long low-floor articulated buses with a bid of Ft 2.5 billion.
The State Privatization and Holding Zrt (ÁPV) decided at the end of 2005 to raise capital at Volán's 23 bus companies by Ft 10 billion. The money was intended to finance bus purchases.
