Poland's Polenergia and Norway's Equinor plan to launch 1.4 GW (gigawatt) of offshore wind capacity in the Baltic Sea at the end of 2025, not 2026 as initially stated, TSO PSE said on Tuesday, according to Montel News.
The companies' joint 720-MW Baltyk II and 720-MW Baltyk III offshore wind farm projects were due to start operation on November 30, 2025, PSE added in a statement.
Separately, Ocean Winds said its projected 399 MW offshore wind farm would start feeding power to the Polish grid at the end of May 2027. Ocean Wind is a joint venture of Portugal's EDPR and France's ENGIE.
