Pellet and biomass plant in Szászberek, Hungary

A foreign investor group is to construct a pellet manufacturing plant and a biomass power plant in Szászberek, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county (Eastern-Hungary).
To realize the plan, the group has bought 23 hectares in the village's industrial park, thus the Italian Agritrade S.R.L. now owns 85% majority stake and 5 Hungarian private individuals own 15% minority stake in the property. As the Ft 6 billion ($33.7 million) first phase of the investment, Europe's most modern pellet manufacturing plant will be completed, while as the second phase of Ft 28 billion ($157.4 million), the biomass power plant will be built.
