Green Energy

Hungary's Mátra Power Plant officially launched a Ft 17 billion development project yesterday, Világgazdaság reported. The investment, to be completed by January 2007, will boost the plant's capacity by 10% from the current 836 MW and will also increase efficiency. They will add two gas turbines, of 29 MW capacity each, to two 212 MW existing coal-fuelled blocks of the power station as part of the project. Improved efficiency will raise the capacity of the blocks by close to 47 MW each.
