Hungary’s Pannonplast goes geothermal
Pannonplast Zrt plans to cooperate with VGK-Hönnun of Iceland to construct power plants using geothermic energy in Hungary, Pannonplast announced.
The company will submit bids for loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and will establish project companies together with municipalities to build the facilities. The Icelandic company will provide modern technology for the project. Geothermic power plants could be an ideal solution for villages and small towns in heat and energy supply. Pannonplast plans eight power plants altogether with a total investment of €350 million ($499 million). (Napi Gazdaság)
