Hungary's EETEK Holding Zrt, a company that specializes in designing, implementing and financing cost-saving energy projects, announced on Wednesday it has completed a €3 million cooling system at car maker Audi Hungária Motor Kft's plant in Győr, northwest Hungary.

The cooling system has a capacity of 3 MW, but can be expanded to 6 MW. The cooling system will use heat produced by power generators at the site of the plant.
EETEK said earlier it had invested €45 million in projects since 2002 and now has about 50 clients. In 2005, the company had revenue of Ft 7 billion. EETEK was set up by a fund of France's Dexia Bank and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to reduce energy consumption and emissions of greenhouse gas in the CEE region. It has wholly-owned units in Slovakia, Croatia and Romania.
