StatoilHydro finds more gas

Norway’s StatoilHydro has made a gas discovery in the Norwegian Sea near the Aasgard field, energy officials said on Monday.
“The size of the discovery is preliminarily estimated at about 1.5 billion standard cubic metres of recoverable gas,” the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said in a statement. The discovery was made in production license 263 in which StatoilHydro is operator and has a 70% interest and Bayerngas Norge has 30%, the NPD said. (Reuters)
