MVM Energetika gets HUF 208 bln capital raise

Share capital at state-owned energy company MVM Energetika has been raised by HUF 208 billion to HUF 796.6 bln, MVM said on December 31, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Earlier in December, MVM got a EUR 200 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for network upgrades.

In November, it issued a EUR 500 mln bond on international markets.

In September, the company raised HUF 54 bln with a bond issued in the framework of the Bond Funding for Growth Scheme (BGS) of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB).

MVM Energetika secured HUF 100 bln of financing from a consortium of three Hungarian banks in the spring to implement the group's business strategy and support its regional expansion.
