Linde AG, the world's biggest maker of industrial gases, won an order to build a liquefied petroleum gas plant in Romania valued at more than €70 million ($88 million). Linde will build the plant in Constanta for Romania's biggest oil and gas company, Petrom SA, it said yesterday in an e-mailed statement. The plant will be completed in the H2 of 2008. „Romania, which will join the European Union in 2007, offers great potential for more highly interesting projects,” Linde board member Aldo Belloni said in the statement. Shares of Linde, which is moving its headquarters to Munich from Wiesbaden, gained €1, or 1.4%, to close at €74.70. The stock has risen 19% this year for a market value of €11.7 billion. Austria's OMV AG owns a majority of Petrom. (Bloomberg)
