Gas consumption down 20% in past five years
Hungary’s natural gas consumption decreased 5% in the last year and 20% in the past 5 years the energy regulatory office MEKH said. The drop to an aggregate 3.2 billion cubic meters in 2012 was due to a number of factors that include the weather, switching providers as well as a spreading consumer approach of conservation, MEKH said.
