Electricity market players polled on risk preparedness draft

Domestic participants of the electricity market were given one month to inform the Energy Office what they thought about the draft risk preparedness plan of the Hungarian electricity supply, according to business daily Világgazdaság.
The document describes how to prevent a power crisis, and if it does happen, what needs to be done. The draft was published by the Hungarian Energy and Utilities Regulatory Authority (MEKH), and a deadline of August 26 was set for receiving opinions.
Hungary is obligated to prepare the plan to harmonize with EU law. The first risk preparedness plan must be adopted and published by MEKH by January 5, 2022.
