EC to recover €9.4 mln in farm funding from Hungary

The European Commission on Tuesday said it is reclaiming €9.4 million in European Union farm funds from Hungary. The funds are being recovered as a correction proposed for "eight undefined good agricultural and environmental conditions", the Commission said. The amount is among some €414m the EC is reclaiming from 22 members states, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden and the United Kingdom, in addition to Hungary.
