Hungary's economy probably contracted by more than 2% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of last year, according to a poll of analysts by business daily Napi Gazdaság. The Central Statistics Office (KSH) will publish Q4 GDP data early Thursday. GDP fell 1.3% year-on-year in Q1-Q3, the latest data show. The analysts said year-on-year consumer price inflation likely slowed to under 4% in January as tax increases fell out of the base period. KSH will also publish January CPI on Thursday. CPI was 5.0% year-on-year in December.
