Alleged ISIS hacker attacks Hungarian websites

History

An alleged Islamic State hacker carried out a series of cyber attacks against various Hungarian websites, Magyar Telekom group’s news and entertainment portal origo.hu reported yesterday.

The apparently random attacks targeted a municipality website where the attacker posted similar content to what was used in earlier attacks elsewhere in Europe.

The attacks happened after the Hungarian Government approved of the Hungarian army’s participation in military operations in Iraq’s Kurdish region which is being threatened by the Islamic State.

Foreign Affairs Committee chairmen Zsolt Németh told MTI earlier yesterday that the planned mission would not increase the threat of terrorism in Hungary, origo.hu added.
