Report: Price of wheat drops, price of corn stagnates
Magro Grain Index (MGX) saw a 3% growth in Hungary in July, reaching 9030 points, Magro.hu reported today in a press release.
Despite this growth, the price of wheat decreased and the price of corn remained the same, the press release noted. The average price of grain is now approximately HUF 43,500 per ton, while the price of corn is approximately HUF 40,000 per ton.
Some 5.2 million tons of fall grain was harvested this year, with 70% of it being of milling quality.
