MABISZ: Storm damage could reach HUF 3 bln in claims

Policy holders issued approximately 20,000 claims amounting to nearly HUF 3 bln in damages caused by the severe storm that struck Hungary Wednesday afternoon, Hungarian Insurers Association (MABISZ) said today.
During his weekly press conference yesterday, Cabinet Chief János Lázár estimated storm damage to have reached billions of forints, adding that the Hungarian government would weigh the issue of compensation at a cabinet meeting on July 21.
